Frugal Friday for the Home: DIY Artwork

To be truthful my apartment is lacking in the home decor department and being creatively inclined, there is no reason for this. There are endless frugal ideas for designing on a dime and embracing your personal style. One of my favorite ways for updating is to create custom artwork. There are endless possibilities and DIY art can fit budgets big or small. It can be fun for the entire family. Art pieces can often be made with nothing more than a $5 canvas, a little imagination, and items that you already have lying around at home. So stop procrastinating and go get crafty, you can thank me later. Here are a few of my favorite artsy ideas to update your home with artwork.

Painted Wood from curbly.com
Crayon Art from belfurniture.blogspot.com

Toliet Paper Roll Art from theluxuryspot.com
Button Art from shelterness.com
DIY String Art Tutorial (dorm)
String Art from juxtapost.com

I definitely see a trip to a couple of craft stores in my near future.  Happy Friday, stay frugal.

Peace & Love,
